Many local residents know the Suffolk Park Community Garden as a place where people come together to grow food, share knowledge & build community.
What you may not know is that the Garden's President is also helping support a remarkable initiative thousands of kilometres away in Uganda.
Through Sustain-Ed, Ragna Gilmour is working to create opportunities for education, permaculture training, food security & sustainable livelihoods, helping communities build practical skills that can have a lasting impact for generations to come.
It's a powerful reminder that local action can create global change.
Sustain-Ed is hosting a fundraiser to support its ongoing work in Uganda, helping expand educational opportunities & strengthen community resilience through sustainable agriculture & environmental education.
As a community that values connection, sustainability & grassroots action, we thought this was a wonderful initiative to share. In honour of Ragna's birthday, we're inviting our community to help support the work she has dedicated so much time, energy & passion to. Thank you.
